Rescue:

Pet Patrol received word from a friend of the organization that a cat had been spotted hiding
around a nearby farm. She was nicknamed Maizie Blue, and while she was friendly, she wouldn’t
approach too closely. The rescuer realized this pretty cat was pregnant, so they left food out for
her and hoped she would warm up to them to ensure they could help her care for the soon to be born kittens. As Maizie’s due date grew closer, she became more and more interested in staying
near the safety of the house, but would then disappear every night. Where did she go? One
morning she arrived thinner; she had had her kittens. She was finally found with her five newborns
in front of the barn’s silos, wedged into a makeshift cave where a wooden pallet leaned against the
cement padding. Such a temporary place was not safe from predators, and this little feline family
was rescued soon after.

Personality:

Jupiter is a striking black tabby with plenty of personality. He’s full of energy and always on the
move, especially during playtime, when he’ll politely say “no thank you” to being picked up because
he’s got important zoomies to do! But once he’s had his fun, a soft, fluffy blanket or a cozy sunspot
is all it takes to convince him to settle down and show off his gentle side. Jupiter has a special bond
with his mom—he’s been voted “most likely to take care of mom for life,” and he’s serious about it,
always grooming and cuddling her with devotion. His playful streak shines through during wrestling
matches with his siblings and when he fiercely guards his favorite floofy ball. Try to take it from him,
and you’ll quickly learn it’s his prized possession! Despite his independent nature, Jupiter’s deep
purr will emerge when he’s ready for snuggles, and his favorite way to be held is in a full infant
carry—snuggled tight when the timing’s right. Jupiter is ready to be adopted into his forever home.
One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
