Rescue:

There’s a woman who lives in a village outside the city limits, about a 15 minute drive. She has
lived in the same house for 40 years and has been looking after the stray cats in her community the
entire time. She has found homes for some, spayed or neutered others, and there’s always that
one feral cat who won’t ever come near anybody at any time. Chippit’s mother is that feral cat
elusive and aloof and she now has a litter of six. The woman really wanted to make sure that the
kittens were safely indoors and started rescuing them, catching little Chippit first. New to the
sanctuary and crying for something familiar, we placed him in with another little kitten for company
until his siblings could be brought in.

Personality:

Meet Chippit, a silly and spunky little fella who has quickly made himself at home with his foster
family. Although he had a rough start and was very scared of humans, with time and patience, he’s
learning that people aren’t so bad after all. While he’s still not the biggest fan of snuggling, he’s
making progress every day, slowly coming out of his shell and learning to trust. He was lovingly
welcomed by surrogate Mama Peaches and her kitten Pumpkin. Pumpkin and Chippit were
inseparable, spending their days snuggled up together or racing around! These two best buddies
loved to chase springs, leap for wand toys, and show off their impressive scratching skills on the
post—such good boys! Chippit is ready to be adopted into his forever home with a buddy like
Pumpkin, where he’ll be welcomed into the family and kept safely indoors.
