Rescue:

The life some cats endure at the mercy of people can be heartbreaking, and Finnegan’s story is
one of those that will make you cringe. This lovely, sweet, and outgoing boy lived in a home where
the owner struggled with severe addiction and was cruel to him. Whenever the owner managed to
catch Finnegan, he would mistreat him. The home environment was filthy and chaotic with garbage,
rodents and a smell that would stop you in your tracks. Other signs of abuse were also evident
when Finnegan was finally rescued. Despite enduring this awful lifestyle for the first two years of his
life, authorities intervened, and Finnegan along with the other animals, was removed and given a
chance at a better life.

Personality:

Amazingly, Finnegan seems unscathed by his past and is now looking forward to a future filled with
love, care, and security. He is tall, handsome, and incredibly friendly. Playful, affectionate, and
loving, you’d never know the hardships he went through. Finnegan gets along well with other cats,
has made himself comfortable in the sanctuary, and shows how easily he adjusts to new
environments with a grateful heart. One of Finnegan’s sweetest traits is how he greets volunteers at
the door, always eager for attention. You can’t walk by him without stopping for a snuggle, and it’s
impossible not to give in to that adorable face. He absolutely loves being around people and
soaking up all the love he can get. Finnegan is ready to be adopted into a secure, caring, and
nurturing home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
