Rescue:
Cheeto was spotted in a park in late spring and he was frequenting a home nearby for four months,
looking for food. He would meow at the woman who owned the home when he showed up at her
door, and she would go out to feed and talk to him. In mid September, he appeared at the door of
one of Pet Patrol‘s volunteers, another street over. When Cheeto looked inside, the volunteer
noticed he was sick. Concerned, she set up a humane trap and soon Cheeto was captured and
brought into Pet Patrol’s care.
Personality:
Cheeto is a calm and laidback boy who loves to perch up high and watch the world below. He
enjoys quietly observing everything that’s happening around him. Call his name, and you’ll see him
perk up, waiting patiently for his favorite ear scratches. Though he might seem a little shy at first,
Cheeto is a friendly and affectionate cat who welcomes pets and attention once he gets to know
you. He has also found himself a special friend —a sweet girl named Whisper. These two are
inseparable and can often be found cuddled up together in the cat house. Whisper absolutely
adores him, always snuggling up against him, and Cheeto doesn’t seem to mind her constant
affection. He’s relaxed and easygoing with other cats as well, fitting in perfectly with his feline
friends. One of Cheeto’s favorite pastimes is hanging out on top of the cages while the volunteers
clean. He’ll often poke his head down to see what they’re doing and quietly ask them to take a
break for some much needed pets. This gentle boy has a lot of love to give and is ready to find his
forever home. One that will welcome him into the home and keep him safely indoors.
