Rescue:
One of Pet Patrol’s volunteers, living in a village surrounded by farms and summer cottages, has a
feeding station for the many stray cats that show up. With colder nights approaching, the station
provides food, water, and shelter for these wandering cats. One evening, while refilling the dishes,
the volunteer heard frantic meowing. Looking around, they spotted a small kitten on the other side
of the fence, crying out loudly to be noticed. It was little Inara, determined to be heard and found.
Inara was easy to approach, her desperation for help clear as she allowed herself to be picked up
without hesitation. Once inside, she eagerly devoured her meal and then curled up in a soft bed,
quickly falling asleep, finally warm and safe. She seemed to know she was rescued, grateful to be
out of the cold, damp weather.
Personality:
Inara is a friendly and affectionate little girl who adores being held and cuddled. Her sweet nature
suggests she must have been someone’s beloved pet at one point, either abandoned or lost and
wandering too far from home. Now, she’s ready to make up for lost time with lots of love and
snuggles! Pick her up, and she’ll melt into your arms, purring contentedly. And when she’s not
nestled in a warm lap—her favorite spot—she’s busy showing off her playful side. Watching Inara
play is enchanting. She loves chasing after toys that bounce or rattle, showing off her quick paws
as she bats at pingpong balls or big pompoms. The cat scratcher is her favorite, and she uses it
like a pro. Inara is full of energy and curiosity, but above all, she’s happiest when she’s close to her
humans, soaking up their love and attention. Inara is ready to be adopted into her forever home,
one that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
