Rescue:
April and Muffin are a bonded pair who found each other after coming from separate paths. April
was discovered alone at just five weeks old in Peterborough, covered in dirt, mud, and fleas, and
making her home in an abandoned barn. Pale and anemic, she was in rough shape, but with gentle
care and a few flea baths, she quickly bounced back. Her spirited nature emerged, revealing a
playful, lively kitten ready for a fresh start. Muffin, on the other hand, was rescued in Ridgetown,
where a kind neighbor found him just in time. Sadly, Muffin’s entire litter had been lost to a farm
dog, leaving him the sole survivor. Lonely and in need of companionship, Muffin was a sad, quiet
kitten—until he met April. The two kittens bonded immediately, and Muffin’s personality began to
bloom in April’s presence.
Personality:
April and Muffin are the perfect blend of playfulness and affection. They love exploring their
surroundings, chasing toys, and climbing their cat tree as high as they can go. They’re often found
darting through tunnels, wrestling with each other, and curling up side by side for a nap after a busy
day of fun. Watching April and Muffin’s bond in action is heartwarming—they balance each other
beautifully. April, with her spunky and sassy personality, is a natural explorer and the more
independent of the two. She’s a talented climber who loves reaching the top of the 8 foot cat pole,
where she watches her world below. Muffin, meanwhile, is the gentle sweetheart of the pair. He
adores human company, checking in regularly for pets and cuddles, and is fearless around
household noises, from vacuums to blenders. April and Muffin would thrive in a loving home
together, where they can share their friendship and continue to bring laughter and joy to their family, one that will keep them safely indoors.
