Rescue:

Fauna was born outdoors in Elmira, where she spent her days playing and hiding in the bushes
with her siblings, huddling together each night to keep warm. As a summer kitten, Fauna had never
experienced a harsh winter, but with colder weather fast approaching, her first encounter with the
Canadian cold would be challenging. Thankfully, Fauna’s life took a brighter turn before the weather
changed—she was rescued from the outdoors just in time. Now safe and warm, Fauna is ready to
leave behind her rough beginnings and find a loving indoor home where she’ll be cozy and cared
for year-round.

Personality:

Meet Fauna, the ultimate peoplelover! Her purrs start the moment you walk through the door, and
if you sit near her, she’ll happily curl up in your lap, gazing at you with pure adoration as she soaks
up all your affection. Though she’s a little nervous in new settings at first, Fauna quickly regains her
sweet confidence and settles in beautifully. She’s content to be around other cats once she gets to
know them but clearly prefers the company of her human companions. Her favorite activities
include playing with dangly toys on strings and lounging by a big window to enjoy the view—
whether it’s wildlife, passersby, or a dramatic storm. Fauna’s playful yet calm demeanor makes her
a delightful companion. She’s not overly mischievous and knows how to balance her love for
playtime and snuggles. She would thrive in a quieter home where she can be the center of
attention, especially with older children (12+), as she prefers a calm, relaxed environment.
Fauna is ready to bring her loving purrs and gentle companionship to her forever home, where she’ll be cherished and kept safely indoors.
