Rescue:

A couple who lived about 45 minutes away from the sanctuary called to let Pet Patrol that they
found a little tiny calico kitten. They were located close to a farm, about a four minute walk, and it
wasn’t uncommon for cats to make their way into the couple’s yard to investigate the quieter
property. Typically the cats eventually go back to the farm, but Leeko bucked the trend. This poor
girl was all by herself, lingering between their home and their neighbor’s deck. Leeko was shy and
would bolt when approached, so the couple messaged neighbors to see if anyone else knew about
the kitten. Only one woman replied, saying she didn’t know of an owner, but she did have a
humane trap. That night, Leeko was rescued and brought into the house. She was kept cozy and
warm in a quiet room, with lots of food, love, and attention. Shortly after, she was brought into Pet
Patrol’s care.
