Rescue:
Quinta’s start to her life was horrible. A woman had heard about a family who had a number of cats
in their home with kittens to give away. It was not a nice home, dysfunctional and accurately
described as a hoarders home in ill repair. They put the kittens in a carrier over night so that they
would not run around and wake them up. But if the house is in deplorable shape, that carrier was
not cleaned either, and the kittens sat in their own faeces and urine every night. This created
horrendous sores on their bellies and feet. We are very happy to have rescued many cats and this
sweet girl from that home. Meanwhile, Lacey’s story began at a local campground along a quiet
riverbank. Sadly, she was yet another victim of abandonment, like so many cats left behind each
fall when the campground closes. This girl was born in the spring. As the kittens grew, some were
lucky enough to be taken in by kind campers, but others, like Lacey, were left to fend for
themselves. A few campers found Lacey and this sweet natured girl deserved a better life. They
reached out to Pet Patrol, hoping to give her the chance she truly deserved.
Personality:
Quinta and Lacey are sweet girls who have formed an unbreakable bond in their foster home,
where patience and love helped them learn how to be happy, playful cats. Though they came from
different places, they quickly became best friends. Quinta is friendly and confident, welcoming pets
from just about anyone. She loves bouncy balls, spring toys, and will greet you with adorable little
meows. When it’s time to relax, she curls up in a big plush bed, often with Lacey cozied up right
beside her in her own snug little cocoon. Lacey is equally affectionate once she feels at home. She
adores string toys, the laser light, and will happily flop onto her side to show her belly when she’s
comfortable. Lacey loves attention and will make sure you know when it’s time for some pets.
These two best friends are playful, loving, and ready to bring double the joy to their forever home
where they’ll be kept safely indoors and adored.
