Rescue:
Daisy, a resourceful and devoted mother, had been a familiar sight in a small village, often seen
returning to a kind woman’s home each year with a new litter of kittens. For years, this
compassionate woman fed Daisy and her little ones, trying her best to keep them safe. Last fall,
she was encouraged to lure the feline family into her garage, providing them with a dry, sheltered
space. Eventually, Daisy moved her kittens into a spare room in the woman’s house. When a Pet
Patrol volunteer arrived to gather the family, Daisy startled, bolting through a screened window to
freedom. Her kittens, however, were old enough to be brought into care. Sadly, Daisy remained
outside, where she became pregnant once again. When her next litter, Sprinkle, Spike, and
Scooter, was born, Daisy brought them back to the same garage, seeking the safety she knew
there. This time, Pet Patrol was able to rescue the entire family, including Daisy. Now safe in our
care, Daisy and her kittens are thriving. Though they weren’t handled much initially, the kittens have
come around with patience, treats, and love, becoming playful, healthy, and happy.
Personality:
Spike is an affectionate sweetheart who adores being the center of attention. The moment you step
into the room, he’s the first to greet you, winding around your legs and soaking up every bit of
affection he can get. The second you reach down to pet him, his purr motor revs up, and he happily
rubs against you, ensuring you don’t forget who the real star of the show is. While he enjoys
playtime, Spike is more interested in snuggles, often choosing head scratches over chasing a toy. A
true foodie, he never misses a meal and isn’t shy about requesting extra treats. If you dare to pet
another cat, expect him to nudge his way in, making sure he gets his fair share of love. While he’s
still figuring out if laps are his thing, it’s only a matter of time before he decides they’re the best
place to nap. Though curious but cautious around dogs, Spike would likely adjust well to a calm,
friendly pup. With his loving nature and irresistible charm, he’s ready to be someone’s best cuddle
buddy. Spike is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the
family and keep him safely indoors.
