Rescue:

Pet Patrol has been helping surrounding farms near the sanctuary for years, working with families
who do things the traditional way. Life on these farms isn’t easy—many rely on a single income,
juggle a second business, and care for large families, often without modern conveniences. With
money tight, spaying and neutering barn cats is simply not an option, leading to overpopulation.
This is where cat rescues step in, ensuring these colonies stay healthy while keeping the numbers
under control. Alastair and his sisters, Ambrosia and Adira, were born into one such colony. Their
farm had been overwhelmed with two litters a year for the past two years, and the owners finally
realized that something needed to change. “We can hardly give them away,” they admitted,
agreeing that having the cats fixed would make a difference. Not wanting these three to continue
the harsh life of a barn cat, they reached out for help. Soon, Alastair, Ambrosia, and Adira arrived at
Pet Patrol, where they’ve thrived in a warm and loving environment.

Personality:

Alistair is the loveliest boy, full of charm and warmth. Coming from a farm, you never know what to
expect, but he has embraced indoor life without hesitation. Upon arrival, his long fur was a bit of a
mess, but he immediately took to being brushed—and what a transformation! Now, his coat is
unbelievably soft, and he happily soaks up as many pets as possible. At first, Alistair was content in
his cage, watching the world go by, but once he was free to explore the sanctuary, he made himself
right at home. He can often be found perched on a box, quietly observing his surroundings or
staying close to people. Those big, sweet kitty eyes are impossible to resist, and every passerby is
drawn in for a snuggle. While he allows himself to be picked up, it’s not quite his favorite just yet—
he squirms a bit, but with time and a little extra TLC, he may very well become a full-fledged lap
cat. With his gentle nature and affectionate heart, Alistair is ready to be adopted into his forever
home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
