Rescue:
Carl is a big, handsome orange and white boy who spent two long years as a stray in Kitchener.
Known by everyone on the street, neighbors looked out for him but couldn’t bring him indoors. They
figured he had been left behind when someone moved, and while Carl managed to survive, life on
the streets was taking its toll. When a harsh cold spell hit, Carl’s situation became urgent. He was
wounded, with a three inch slash on his front left leg that wouldn’t stop bleeding, and his leg was
swollen and painful. Concerned for his safety, the neighbors posted his story on Facebook, and Pet
Patrol stepped in to help. By the time we arrived, a kind neighbor had secured Carl in their
breezeway, where he finally experienced the warmth and comfort he’d been longing for. The next
morning, Carl was taken to the vet, where his wound was stitched, and he was neutered and
vaccinated. Despite all he’d been through, Carl showed what a good boy he is, clearly relieved to
be safe and cared for
Personality:
Carl is an absolute sweetheart who radiates happiness and love. From the moment he arrived, he
made himself right at home—lounging comfortably, accepting pets from everyone, and proving just
how easygoing he truly is. Nothing seems to phase this relaxed and content boy. He gets along
wonderfully with other cats and has fully embraced indoor life without a second thought. Carl is the
definition of a happy cat. He enjoys being picked up and carried, always eager for affection, and
never one to turn down a good cuddle. While he loves stretching out on wide windowsills and
watching the world go by, he has no interest in returning to the outdoors—he knows he’s exactly
where he belongs. Carl is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him
into the family and keep him safely indoors
