Rescue:
Pet Patrol often receives calls from smaller cat rescues up north, but this particular message was a
first for us. Four tiny kittens, Harissa, Honey, Harlow, and Holly, were spotted living in the shrubs of
a traffic roundabout—a dangerous and unusual place for such young ones to call home. Their
mother, a brave and dedicated cat, was seen darting across the busy road several times a day to
care for her little ones. As the kittens grew bolder, they began to venture out, playfully exploring the
grassy area, unaware of the dangers surrounding them. It was clear that this wasn’t a safe place for
these babies to stay, and a rescue plan was quickly put into motion. Though it took time and
patience, all four kittens, along with their mother, were safely brought into the care of Pet Patrol.
Now, these once wild kittens are safe, warm, and ready to find their forever homes, far away from
the dangers of the roadside.
Personality:
Harissa is a special little cat looking for an equally special home—one filled with patience,
understanding, and the quiet comfort she craves. This sweet girl has been learning to trust at her
own pace, and while it took her quite some time to accept pets and purr freely, the reward of
earning her affection is truly priceless. She trills, chirps, and is still discovering her voice, often
mimicking the meows of the cats around her, adding to her undeniable charm. Harissa is playful
and curious, loving string toys, games of tag, and perching up high where she feels safe. She
enjoys snuggling with a feline friend, and she’s slowly learning that being in her human’s lap is quite
nice too. When she naps, you’ll find her on a warm kitty bed or on top of loose laundry. She
tolerates being picked up but prefers to keep all four paws on the ground. She thrives in a quiet
home with no dogs or small children, where she can bond at her own pace. A gentle, affectionate
cat companion would be ideal, as she finds comfort in familiarity. Harissa has so much love to give,
but she needs someone willing to let her set the pace. With time and patience, she will blossom into
a loving companion. Harissa is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome
her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
