Rescue:

At barely five months old, Gatsby was struggling to survive in a concrete underground parking
garage of a highrise in the middle of student housing. This winter had been brutal, with constant
snowstorms and freezing temperatures, leaving him with no real shelter, just cold concrete and the
loud noise of cars. For nearly two weeks, he was seen darting in and out, dodging vehicles and
exhaust fumes, desperately searching for warmth. Then, during one of the worst snowstorms of the
year, someone finally took action. A humane trap was set, and Gatsby, exhausted and freezing,
walked right in. When he arrived in Pet Patrol’s care, he was scared and unsure of what would
happen next. But with warmth, patience, and kindness, he has started to trust, realizing he is finally
safe.

Personality:

When Gatsby first arrived, the world felt big, new, and overwhelming. Unsure of his surroundings,
he kept to himself, watching cautiously as people tried to show him kindness. But with time,
patience, and gentle care, his true personality began to shine. Now, Gatsby enjoys the simple
comforts of life and the love and attention provided. He is quite the explorer with new toys, new
people and loves sitting in the big sunny windows. He isn’t one for the hustle and bustle, or loud
noises, but he likes other cats, joining in for pets and cuddles and chin scratches from his people.
He’s a calm and patient cat, who can now be easily approached, he will lean into pets, enjoying the
affection he once didn’t know he could have. Gatsby would thrive in an adult home where he can
continue to bloom in his own time, he will be a loyal and loving companion. Gatsby is ready to be
adopted into his forever home—one that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely
indoors
