Rescue:
A man on social assistance called Pet Patrol looking for some help. He had eight kittens in
his home! How does that happen? It appears that he and his family have two female cats, but
they could not afford the high prices that were quoted them from the different vet clinics to
have them spayed. At one point the man’s brother needed a place to stay for a short period of
time and moved in with him, but he had a male cat, also not altered. As would happen, because the cat was not kept separate from both of the female cats, they became pregnant. The
first litter (Whiskers, Whisper and Wasabi) came into Pet Patrol care at nine weeks of age,
and the second litter will follow when weaned. All the kittens have been gently and lovingly
handled by children in a family setting, and treated with kindness and respect
Personality:
Whiskers is playful and outgoing but also loves his people cuddles and belly rubs. He is very
friendly and starts purring as soon as he is held or pet. Often, he is found running around with
his brother Wasabi, romping through the living room and scrambling up the cat tree. They
can be found curled up together, all tuckered out from their latest adventure. He likes the view
from up there, looking over the room or out the window at the activities of the neighbourhood.
Whiskers is ready to be adopted into his forever home with a playmate or sibling. One that
will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
