Rescue:

A woman who lives in a small village, just off the main road has been rescuing cats and having
them spayed or neutered. Those that are friendly are adopted into homes/brought to rescue
organizations, and if feral they are released to the same location. She has a feeding station
and insulated cat houses for shelter, some are kept in her studio. Deena is part of a litter that
were born in the barn next door and when the kittens are ready to be weaned the mother cats
bring them over to the feeding station, from there she rescues them. Little Deena was
originally thought to be a male with a broken leg, but upon coming into Pet Patrol care it was
discovered that she is a female and her left back leg had no a foot. Vet care was provided
immediately and it was suggested that Deena have that leg removed as it was of no use and it
was inhibiting her walking. Now as a tripod kitten she has thrived.

Personality:

Deena is a lovely little cat who started out as a timid girl, unsure of her new surroundings and
the surgeries that followed her rescue to remove her back leg. It was of no value to her, actually
a hinderance, and soon she recovered and was happily playing with the resident cat in her
foster home. Deena is warming up to her foster Mom and Dad and likes when they stretch out
in the recliner or on the bed. She will lay near them and accept a scratch on the head or under
her chin. She is a beautiful girl who in time will be a wonderful part of her forever home
