Rescue:
A woman who lives in a small village has single handedly rescued and spayed and neutered
the over population of cats in her area. It all started with a dilapidated farm that is located kitty
corner to her property. There is a horse stable and about five acres of junk. In the winter the
cats would migrate into the stables and take advantage of the bales of hay to burrow into to
get out of the elements, and the heat from the thirty or so horses was more that the outside
temperature. In the summer it was not uncommon for the cats to live amongst the junk in the
yard. There were abandoned trailers, piles of wood and skids, and a lot of places to take
refuge from the heat and predators. But the pregnant cats headed to the neighbor’s empty
chicken coop to have their kittens. It was safe and the woman would put food and water in
there so their pregnancies were healthy. Once the kittens were born, she would bring the
whole feline family into her studio and make sure the kittens were social and the moms were
spayed.
Personality:
Tilley was a little shy at first but she is always around her people and has become braver with
her sister Tina by her side. She is getting more comfortable getting picked up and cuddled
and will easily fall asleep on your lap. This little one is quite agile and can be found chasing
after her siblings, pouncing on the wand toys (she has a pretty good grip on it once caught)
and scaling the cat climbers easily. Games of Hide & Seek with Tina and laying in the sunshine
cuddled up is just the best. Tilley is ready to be adopted into her forever home, hopefully
with her sister. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
