Rescue:

The sanctuary is located outside the city limits, surrounded by farms and communities that do
things the old fashioned way. We received a phone call about a family who had too many
kittens and “was wondering if we wanted some”. Knowing that they were healthy cats, eating
well, and no parasites they would be a welcome addition to the sanctuary. Our volunteer arrived at the farm, the family was waiting for her with the family dog, too. Each child stood
proudly holding one. The biggest orange kitten got away but the one girl followed him into the
barn and brought him back. They were easy to put into the carrier, and once they arrived at
the sanctuary were curious although little concerned. In no time we were able to pick them up
and cradle them in our arms as the children had done with them since birth.

Personality:

Newton is so soft you just can’t help wanting to pet him, hold him and give him kitty massages and he loves every minute of if. Easy to carry around and quite good at being a lap kitty, he
is all in for human attention. He is a handsome boy with a calm personality that loves to receive and give affection to his people. But like all kittens he is full of energy and can be found
scaling the cat tree, chasing after toys that bounce or jingle, and other cat’s tails. The plastic
springs and wand toy are favorites. He is quite active in the WWF (World Wrestling Felines)
and is never afraid to take on his sibling in a fair and sometimes tag team oriented event.
Newton is ready to be adopted into his forever home hopefully with a sibling or playmate. One
that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
