Rescue:

Bobby arrived outside an older lady’s house in the fall, and seemed to be cold and starving. His coat was dry and dull and he peered into her warm living room looking defeated.
“You could see he was thin and he was also very frightened”. She began feeding him and
little by little that food dish came closer to the house and through the door. She said “I live
alone and so I would just leave the door open for him and eventually he would come in and
eat and leave and then one day he sauntered further in and I just shut the door. He is a
sweet cat and he has been playful with my other kitty in the house as well. He likes to chat
too.” However, when Bobby came inside, it was obvious that he had injuries to two of his
feet. But she was unable to secure him to get him into the vet. Over time his feet eventually did heal . She says “I know that he wants to be with me, but I am elderly and I already
have one cat to take care of. I wish I could keep him.

Personality:

This boy, Bobby, was pretty nervous when he first arrived at the sanctuary but since then
he has excelled. Our first attempt to make him feel comfortable was neck massages and
he wasn’t sure about those at first but then leaned right into them. From that point on we
have been able to give him body massages, ear rubs, and scratches under the chin. He
loves it all. Bobby is a very easy-going, laid-back cat. He was good with other kitties and no
problem at all here at the sanctuary. He has lived with all ages of cats. Bobby is ready to
be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family And keep him
safely indoors
