Rescue:
One of our volunteers who regularly goes to farms and checks out situations when we receive
phone calls about overpopulation of cats, found eight kittens needing help. This particular
farm was overrun with cats. There was at least eight females and two males, and also four
adolescent cats as well. The property owners had been asking for help for a while and our
volunteer would take in litters of kittens and find homes for them, but it wasn’t stopping the cats
from continually breeding. Finally, the farmer agreed to spay and neuter the adults and keep
them as barn cats. They just needed to figure things out because they had just taken over the
property after her father had passed away. The cats were fed and had shelter but they were
plagued by predators and often kittens went missing. Eight kittens came into Pet Patrol care
that day and three more (Diana, Dale and Drake) about a week later
Personality:
Diana loves to explore, play and is a huge fan of belly rubs. She will cuddle on her time – when
her schedule is available/open, and she is incredibly brave and adventurous. She also loves
her brother Dale. Like all kittens both are active and their favourite toys are balls that can be
chased, the wand toy and shadows or reflections on the wall. Bring in a paper bag or cardboard box and let the games begin. Dale is a talker! He enjoys long conversations and is very
affectionate. This cute boy pops up to sit beside you and wants to be around you, especially
when you’re cooking. He is more likely to hang out with you and chill in a sunbeam. Diana and
Dale are ready to be adopted into their forever home together. One that will welcome them
into the family and keep them safely indoors.
