Rescue:

Pet Patrol received a call from a woman about this very friendly and very hungry orange and
white cat, who just showed up on her property one day. She had not seen him before and
thought initially that he had a home, because he was so social. Thinking he would eventually
head back home, she just observed him for a bit, and then realized he wasn’t going anywhere.
This was Max, and when she opened the door to put food out for him, he quickly followed her
inside and had no intention of leaving. He stretched out on her carpet and made himself at
home. After a few weeks, and not finding his original owner through social media, she contacted Pet Patrol. It was difficult for her to give him up, but she felt at this time she could not
keep another cat. Max made himself at home in the sanctuary as well, happy to be inside and
well fed. It is still unclear as to where he came from, but we are finding that there are more
people this year, needing to rehome their pets than ever before. It is our suspicion that many
cats are being abandoned when people move and/or cannot afford to keep them any more.

Personality:

Max is a very handsome cat. Not only is he a classic orange tabby with wide auburn stripes,
but he has a crisp white bib and white toes. His personality is charming, and he is good with
children and other cats, happy to be pet, held and carried. He is a cuddler for sure and will
share your lap, computer table, bed and blanket. He has explored all the toys in the sanctuary
and is happy to chase anything that dangles, bounces or crinkles. We have found him upside
down in the cat tunnel, and basking in the window, with a warm sunbeam streaming through.
All round this boy is wonderful and will be a great addition to any home. His gentle nature and
kind heart will win you over immediately. Max is ready to be adopted into his forever home.
One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
