Rescue:

Joey and DeeDee are a bonded pair who have lived their entire lives together. They were
born into a litter of five kittens, to a mom who found her way to a rural farm property. Not
having a home herself, she found the only shelter half suitable to have her kittens in was
under a side porch. The nice people who lived there took notice and began feeding her so
she would be healthy, and the kittens would thrive, and they did. As they approached eight
weeks of age the kittens came to Pet Patrol to find their forever homes and by this time the
family had convinced the mom that people could be trusted. Soon she was adopted into
the farmhouse to live permanently, has been spayed and kept indoors. Joey and DeeDee
were adopted together to a nice woman who lived alone and treated them well. She contacted Pet Patrol a short time ago and said she would be moving out of the area to remarry
and her new family is severely allergic to these sweet cats. She was quite torn as to what
to do, but in the end, rehoming “her babies” was the only solution. Joey and DeeDee are
lovely cats and have been good companions for her.

Personality:

Both cats are used to lots of love and attention. Joey is the more outgoing of the two. He
will be your snuggle buddy at night, will claim your lap as a good spot for Netflix binges and
will tell you all about his day when you come home. He will bring you his favourite toy, drop
it off at your feet and then he will tell you all about it. DeeDee is such a sweet, beautiful girl
with one gold and one blue eye. She will leave the lap-sitting to her brother, but she does
like to be near you. She is fascinated by light reflections on walls and ceilings and she will
be the first to check out new empty boxes to assess whether they are good sleeping quarters. Joey and DeeDee need a new forever home, one that will continue to give them the
love that they are so used to and keep them safely inside.
