Rescue:

Two ladies that like to help the cats in their community north of the Pet Patrol sanctuary, noticed a free kitten sign in the window of a second hand store. It was run by two women who are
known to have a lot of pets so one of the two ladies reached out and inquired about the kittens. She made arrangements to bring them into her care and to come around and pick them
up. Not many questions were asked of her. Upon arriving at the apartment the first thing that
caught her attention was the smell, it was of a dirty house, garbage and stale urine. She was
absolutely horrified by what she saw: a lot of clutter, filth everywhere and living amongst it were
cats and kittens plus humans. Queso and Qia were so dirty when she brought them into care
that they needed two sink showers, trying to remove the smell. Once clean the sores on their
little feet that were caked with grime, were exposed. They were deep and we wondered how
they even walked because of the pain. But kittens and cats are resilient and with proper care
these two babies had recovered. Pet Patrol continues to help the other cats in this home.

Personality:

Queso and Qia (pronounced K-wesso and Kiah) These two babies are absolutely precious and
sweet. At least in the home they came from they were treated with respect and love, not rough
housed with or abused. From the beginning they were easy to pick up and cuddle, carry and
will happily sleep on your lap or in your arms. These cuties love to be held, cuddled and will
purr when you pick them up. They are very energetic and playful, running through the foster
home, interacting with each other constantly in games of Chase and Hide & Seek. They love
to climb the cat tree and gaze out the window, trying to catch rain drops on the window or
sleeping in the sun beam on a sunny day. Queso and Qia are ready to be adopted into their
forever home together. One that will welcome them into the family and keep them safely indoors.
