Maxim was originally adopted from a local city shelter. At that time, his new mom was told he was
6 years old. This, to her, fit perfectly, as she was looking for a mature cat for her mature home.
She was 87 years old, and her special-needs daughter who lived with her was in her 50s. However,
once he settled in and had his first checkup with the vet, they realized he was actually only 6
months old! Despite his youth, they loved him and did keep him for a time. However, it became too
difficult for his owners to keep up with him, and they tried to move him in with another family
member. In the end, this alternative did not work out, as the elderly sister who took him in was on
medication, and cat allergies certainly didn’t help. So now Maxim is in Pet Patrol’s care, 2 years old,
and ready for many more years in a new forever home!
Personality:
Maxim is a sweet little cuddle bug. He loves to be in your lap and take in any scritches you’re
willing to give. He is an indoor cat, but keep an eye on him because he will try to sneak outside! If
you leave a screened window open, he will show his appreciation by soaking up the sun and feeling
the breeze through his fur. He’d love a catio! Maxim is also young so he can be high energy. He gets
the zoomies and chases after his toys. He will absolutely play with anything you drag along the
floor, like strings, feathers, and even the broom. He is incredibly good-natured and just needs a
place that will let him be the kitten he’s always wanted to be.
