Rescue:

Illy and Cecil’s momma, Cacia (pronounced Kahseeah and means vigilant), was well known to a
chicken farm and the people that work there. Although she made her rounds of nearby farms she
would show up every year to have her litter of kittens there in some very interesting places. Her first
litter of kittens was born in the wall of the barn, five feet down. The man who helps to run the
chicken farm, had to use tin snips to cut away the metal wall in order to reach the kittens. Mama
took off never to be seen until her next litter the following year. This time she had them inside the
base of a huge fountain that was stored in the shop and it was very cramped and dirty inside.
Again, once she realized her kittens were found she disappeared. Those kittens were lucky as
again Pet Patrol had a nursing mom to look after them. Now it’s 2024 and here she was again, this
time with her kittens (Cecil, Cedar, and Clove) behind the chicken barn, buried deep under storage
boxes. Everyone was safely rescued and now they’re doing well in our care.

Personality:

Despite their looks, Illy and Cecil are not from the same litter! Illy was “adopted” by momma Cacia,
and boy did he fit right in. These little guys love to zoom, play hide & seek, and chase crinkle balls
together. They’re smaller than their brothers Cedar and Clove, but that doesn’t stop them from
joining in on their wrestling matches. When they’re tuckered out, they’ll cuddle up with each other on
the couch with their favourite people. Cecil in particular thinks laps make the best beds. Illy had to
spend time away from his siblings to have his eye removed, and when he came back with a clean
bill of health, it was instantly apparent just how much he missed having Cecil by his side. These
cuties are ready to be adopted into their forever home, one that will keep them safely indoors.
