Rescue:
A woman living on the edge of a small town called Pet Patrol one day and said that a barn cat had
showed up on her deck, quietly looking for her attention and a little food to spare. She had no idea
where he originally came from, but he was kind and she quickly befriended him. He took to hanging
out on her deck, and for the next three weeks, she gave him regular meals. Unfortunately, despite
Kahn’s friendly nature with humans and animals, the woman already had her own pet kitties that
didn’t really want him to stick around. Even though he hadn’t liked to be touched at first, their
friendhip opened him up, so when volunteers arrived, he happily climbed into their arms. It seemed
Kahn just wanted to be loved. The woman mentioned that she had originally called him Circle
Square because of the classic tabby markings on his side. They created rings of colour, but in a
square sort of shape. After arriving at the sanctuary, the team needed to come up with a strong but
gentle name, and we came upon Khan. He has adjusted well to living in the sanctuary and enjoys
all the attentions and comforts that come with being indoors.
Personality:
Kahn woke up one day and said to himself “I don’t want to be a barn cat anymore.” And boy did he
follow through. He has charmed everyone he has met, and that has gotten him all the cuddles, pets,
head pats, and food his little heart desires. His sweetness knows no bounds. Kahn is fine with
being picked up and is quick to purr to show his happiness. He is relaxed around other cats, and is
content to lounge in the sanctuary on a cozy bed and blankets. This gentleman is ready for his
forever home, one that will welcome into the family and keep him safely indoors.
