Update
Boy, do I feel much better. I got to the vet in good time and just like they had mentioned I had a sleep and when I woke up my side, where my wound was, was shaved, (just peach fuzz now) and I had about 10 stitches, but no hole! I didn’t feel anything. I have no pain anymore, my stitches aren’t itchy and I am feeling wonderful. I really feel like I have come alive as I don’t have this wound on my side burdening me any longer. Thank you, thank you thank you for everybody who donated to help with my Vet cost. It is made all the difference to me. Now, I look forward to finding a forever home.
Hi there, my name is JayJay, and I’ve had quite the journey. I was all alone, wandering around a huge, empty farm with nothing but fields as far as I could see. My left side hurt so badly; I had this big, crusty scab, and every movement made it sting. I tried to ignore it, hoping it would heal on its own, but I felt weaker each day.
Then, one day, a kind woman from a small cat rescue noticed me. She had the softest voice and gentle hands, and I felt a flicker of hope. She took a closer look at my wound, and I could tell she was worried. I heard her say she was going to get me the help I needed, and for the first time, I felt a little safe. She fed me, gave me water, and even talked to me softly each day.
But then, the scab on my wound fell off, and the bright red skin underneath made me wince. The wound just wouldn’t close, no matter how hard I tried to stay still and let it heal. I think that’s when the lady knew I needed more serious care. She brought me to Pet Patrol, where everyone welcomed me with warmth and kindness.
Now, I’m here waiting for surgery so my wound can finally heal. The vet says they’ll need to sedate me, clean the edges, and stitch it up so it can close properly. I’m hoping that kind people like you can help Pet Patrol cover the cost of my care. I just want to be free from pain, to purr and cuddle without that sting on my side. Could you help me get there? My paws are crossed, hoping for a second chance.
