Rescue:
Pet Patrol received a call from a woman seeking help for a friendly cat who had appeared out of
nowhere at a rural trailer park. Spending her summer near a quiet lake, she was surprised when a
handsome brown tabby and white cat, later named Nero, showed up one sunny afternoon. He
seemed hungry and eager for attention, and she suspected he may have been left behind by
someone who moved on. No cats had been seen roaming the park all season, so she posted a
notice for his owner, but no one came forward. As October approached and the last day for the park
season drew near, she grew concerned—soon, there would be no visitors, no power, and no water.
Pet Patrol arranged for Nero to stay with a smaller rescue nearby until transportation could bring
him safely to the sanctuary, which was about an hour and a half away. When Nero finally arrived,
he greeted everyone with purrs and kitty kisses, grateful for the care and ready for his fresh start.
Personality:
Nero quickly showed us what a lovely and friendly boy he truly is. He settled into the sanctuary
effortlessly, charming everyone with his affectionate nature. This sweet tabby loves people and is
always eager to greet visitors at the door. With a gentle rub against your legs and a cozy spot on
your lap, Nero lets you know he’s ready for some quality attention. He’s a wellmannered
companion who never demands too much but will softly meow with his sweet voice when he has a
question or just wants a little extra love. Nero is a wonderful, easygoing cat who would bring
warmth and companionship to any home. He’s ready to be adopted into his forever home—one that
will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
