Rescue:
Panda first appeared in late spring of 2024, a small, thin young cat who seemed to have wandered
onto a rural property. Around the same time, several other young cats were spotted in a nearby
village, leading to the heartbreaking suspicion that someone had abandoned a litter. Unlike the
others, Panda made his way up the highway and into the woods, only emerging in the mornings
and evenings to search for food. Skittish and afraid, he kept his distance, watching cautiously. His
rescuers began feeding him twice a day, and over time, he gained weight and his dull coat became
sleek and shiny. As his confidence grew, he moved closer, sitting just out of reach, curiously
watching them work in the yard. Though he was often scared away by the resident indoor cats, he
always returned. When the cold weather set in, it was time to bring him inside. Trusting them just
enough, Panda walked into the trap on the first try. Quiet on the ride to safety, he settled in quickly.
Though nervous at first, he soon accepted gentle pets and, to everyone’s delight, became a belly
rub loving, affectionate cat. Now, Panda is safe at last
Personality:
Panda is the ultimate cuddle bug and will absolutely melt your heart. While he may be a little shy at
first, it won’t take long for him to warm up and shower you with love. Once he’s comfortable, Panda
will purr endlessly as he soaks up all the cuddles and pets you can give. True to his name, he’s like
a giant, gentle panda bear—sweet, happy, and oh so lovable. This adorable boy is a talented
biscuit maker, kneading away with pure joy, and his specialty is naps during brushing sessions (be
prepared for him to doze off!). Panda also loves his toy fish, but in classic laidback style, he prefers
to play while lying down. He’s a belly rub enthusiast and will flop over with his belly up the moment
you pet him, often accompanied by his signature little meows for attention. Panda is ready to be
adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely
indoors
