Rescue:

Karma and her kittens (Kia and Kaya) were raised in a house but unfortunately the woman just
had too many cats and no financial means to care for them all. She already had two cats that
she was very happy with when Karma was brought to her home by her son. He had allowed
his cat to continually breed and had no intention of having her spayed. Perhaps it was a financial
situation, but in this area, we have several low cost spay neuter clinics who can assist in
that way easily. Karma had five kittens in the women’s home and she was able to find homes
for three of them. It broke her heart to think that she had to give them up, especially after
raising the babies as she had done with Karma, but it needed to be done. Soon the three cats
were in Pet Patrol care and thriving, they are now ready for their forever homes.

Personality:

Kai and Kaya are two peas in a pod. Kai is turning into a precocious little cat. Once he is sure
about you he is very friendly and comes to see you for pets. He loves wrestling with his sister
and batting small objects around the floor. He also likes to play with the water in his water bowl
which means that he is fascinated by running water and a fountain would entertain him for long
periods of time. He is a sweet and funny cat who will check everything out. Kaya is generally
more cautious with people than her brother but loves to sit on the window sill and watch the
world outside. She also appreciates a nice sunny spots for an afternoon nap. She’s great at
pouncing on her brother and getting him to wrestle with her and she will stand up on her hind
feet to swat at the wand toy dangling over her head. Very cute. Kai and Kaya are ready to be
adopted into their forever home together. One that will welcome them into the family and keep
them safely indoors
