Rescue:
Pet Patrol received a message from a woman who does cat rescue of her own on a small
scale. She usually looks after the strays that show up at the local stockyards, and in this case a
plant nursery. The man had mentioned that he had a female cat who had had yet another litter
of kittens and he wanted to make sure that they were safe and would not linger and become
feral as have a few others. Apparently, this mother cat is very wild herself and very wise to the
humane trap. He has made many, many attempts at rescuing her but to no avail. Two of her
kittens from last year are still running loose and he is making every effort to make sure that
they are spayed or neutered as well. He welcomes them to continue living on his property, to
be fed and sheltered, but just no more kittens, please.
Personality:
Hershey and her siblings are lovely little cats who have been raised in a family home. They are
used to adult cats being around, being picked up,pet and cuddled. All like to run and play with
toys especially anything that they can climb or run through like the cat tree and kitty tunnel.
They are happy go lucky kittens and quite curious as well. Hershey is named after our favorite
candy, a Hershey’s Kiss, due to her all-dark coat she looks just like one! She is a very active
kitten and loves to play with her litter mates. Hershey’s favorite toys are small, light springs that
she can flick around the room and chase. Hershey like all kittens would like to have a playmate
in her new home, either a sibling or resident pet that is gentle and will play with her. She is
ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep
her safely indoors.
